As we continue on our digital journey, the following digital banking services will be offered exclusively through CBD Mobile and online banking channels and will no longer be available through the contact centre or branches.

Online services

We know how important online banking security is for you. And to provide you with extra protection for your accounts and transactions, we've added the Secure Key, a feature within our mobile banking app, used to generate a unique and single use security code each time you log in to online banking.

You'll need to download the CBD Mobile Banking app and initially set up the Secure Key. The Secure Key works even when you're not connected to the internet and provides you with the passcode you need for online banking transactions that require a second factor of authentication.

Accounts

Activate your debit card or setup a PIN
      To activate your debit card and setup your PIN through the CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Go to ‘Cards’ and select the card you wish to activate
    • Click on ‘Activate Now’
    • Enter your card's expiry date and submit
    • To setup a new debit card PIN, enter your PIN twice to confirm and click 'Continue'
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on ‘Accounts’ and go to Cards Options
    • Select the debit card you wish to activate.
    • Enter Debit Card expiry date and click on ‘ACTIVATE NOW’.
    • To setup a new debit card PIN, enter your PIN twice to confirm and click 'Continue'
    Change or unblock your debit card PIN
      To change or unblock your debit card PIN through the CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Go to ‘Cards’ and select the debit card
    • Click on 'Change or unblock PIN'
    • Enter and confirm your PIN and click Next
    • Enter the OTP you received on your mobile number and click next

      To setup a new debit PIN or to change your PIN through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on ‘Accounts’ and click on the Cards tab
    • Click on ‘Set up PIN’ or ‘Change PIN’ next to your debit card.
    • To change PIN, enter your old PIN and then your new PIN and click continue
    • To set up a new PIN, enter and confirm your PIN and click ‘Continue’
    View Account Statements
      To view your account statement through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile App
    • Select the account
    • Click on 'Statements' tab
    • For current month statement click on ‘Current Month’
    • Click on 'eStatements' and select 'Month' and 'Year' for previous month statements
    • You can also download the statement by clicking on ' View PDF'
      To view your account statement through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Go to 'Accounts' and click on the account you wish to view
    • Click on 'Statements'
    • Select 'Month' and 'Year' for which you wish to download the statement and click 'Submit'
    • Account statement for the particular month will be displayed. You can also download the statement by clicking on 'PDF Download'
    Chequebook request*

      To request for a new cheque book:

      • Login to CBD Online Banking
      • Go to 'Services' Tab
      • Click on 'Requests' Tab and choose 'Chequebook request' from the drop down menu
      • Fill out chequebook request details and click on 'INITIATE' (You will need to enter the a secure token to complete your request)
      • Please note that your chequ book will be couriered to your address on file with the bank
      • *This service is available only through Online Banking

       

    Remittance request**

      To transfer funds through CBD's Mobile App:

    • Login to CBD Mobile App
    • Tap ‘Pay’ and ‘Transfers’ from the app menu
    • Choose an existing beneficiary or click on '+New' to send money to a new beneficiary
    • Enter the amount and confirm your transfer
      To transfer funds through CBD Online Banking:

     

    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Go to 'Transfers' Tab
    • Choose your desired type of transfer from 'Transfer Type' drop down list
    • Choose an existing beneficiary or click on 'Add beneficiary' to send money to a new beneficiary
    • Enter the amount and confirm your transfer
      ** Remittance above AED 200,000/- will continue to be accepted from the branches.
      • You may need to enter the secure token password to complete your remittance requests

     

       

    Standing Order*

      To setup a standing order through CBD Online Banking:

      • Login to CBD Online Banking
      • Go to 'Transfers' Tab
      • Under 'Other Transfers' section, click on 'Standing Order'
      • Complete the form and click on 'Submit'
      • *This service is available only through Online Banking

       

    Debit card replacement

      To replace your debit card through CBD's Mobile App:

      • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
      • Go to 'Cards' and select the card you wish to replace
      • Click on 'Report lost' or 'Stolen'
      • For a lost/stolen card your card will be permanently blocked by clicking on 'Block Card'
      • Click on 'Order a replacement card' to issue a new card
      • Verify the details and click on 'confirm order'

       

    Credit Card

    View credit card payment details

      To view your credit card payment details through CBD's Mobile App:

    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Select the credit card you wish to view
    • You can view 'Payment Details' listed under the 'Details' tab of your credit card

      To view your credit card payment details through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' and go to 'Cards'
    • Click on 'Card Details' tab
    • You can view your Credit Card payment details under 'Payment Due Details'

     

       

    View credit card statement
      To view your credit card statements through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile App
    • Select the credit card you wish to view
    • Select 'Transactions' tab and choose 'View Statements'
    • Go to 'eStatements' tab and choose the month to view your statement.
    • You can also download your statement by clicking on 'PDF Download'.

      To view your credit card statements through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' tab and go to 'Cards' tab
    • Click on 'Statement' tab
    • Choose the month from 'Select a month' dropdown and click on 'Submit' button to view your statement.
    • You can also download your statement by clicking on 'PDF Download'.
    View credit card balance details
      To view your credit card balance through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile App
    • Select the Credit Card you wish to view
    • You can view available balance and outstanding balance of your Credit Card under 'Details' tab

      To view your credit card balance through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' and go to 'Cards' tab
    • You can view the available and outstanding balance of your credit card under the 'Credit Cards' section.
    Activate your credit card
      To activate your credit card through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Go to 'Cards' and select the card you wish to activate
    • Click on 'Manage' and select 'Activate card'
    • Enter card expiry date and submit

      To activate your credit card through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' and go to 'Cards' tab
    • Select the credit card you wish to activate
    • Enter expiry date and click on 'Activate'
    Setup or reset/change credit card PIN*
    To setup a new credit card PIN or to reset/change your credit C=card PIN:
  • Login to CBD Online Banking
  • Click on 'Accounts' and go to 'Cards' tab
  • Select the credit card you wish to change and click on 'Manage PIN'
  • Select card from drop down list
  • Enter and confirm your PIN and click on 'CONTINUE'

    Supplementary card limit change
      To update your supplementary credit card limit through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Go to 'Cards' and select the credit card

    • Set the required limit for supplementary card and click on 'Confirm'

      To update your supplementary credit card limit through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' and go to Cards tab
    • Under supplementary credit card, Click on 'Manage Cards'
    • Select 'Set your limit' under 'Manage Cards'
    • Set the required limit for supplementary card and click on 'Confirm'

    Loan details

    View loan amount/loan outstanding balance
      To view your loan amount or outstanding balance through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Click on 'View All Accounts' on the dashboard
    • Select the loan for which you wish to view the details
    • You can view the ‘Loan Amount and Loan outstanding balance’ under loan details

      To view your loan amount or outstanding balance through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' tab
    • Click on 'Loans' tab
    • All your loans with outstanding amount balances will be displayed
    • Click on the loan to view details
    View loan start/end date details
      To view your loan start/end date through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile App
    • Click 'View All Accounts' on the Dashboard.
    • Select the Loan for which you wish to view the details.
    • You can view the loan start date under the 'Start Date' tab
    • You can view your loan end date under the ‘End Date’ tab

      To view your loan start/end date through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' tab
    • Click on 'Loans' tab
    • Click on 'Loan Account Number' to view the details
    • You can view the loan start date listed under 'Opening Date' under 'Loan Details' tab.
    • You can view your loan end date listed under 'Loan Maturity Date' under 'Loan Details' tab.
    View loan interest rate
      To view your loan interest rate through CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Click 'View All Accounts' on the dashboard.
    • Select the Loan for which you wish to view the loan details.
    • You can view your loan interest rate under the tab 'Interest Rate'

      To view your loan interest rate through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' tab
    • Click on 'Loans' tab
    • Click on 'Loan Account Number' to view the details
    • You can view your loan interest rate listed as 'Interest Rate' under Loan Details tab.
    View next installment amount
      To view the next installment amount of your loan through CBD's Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Click 'View All Accounts' on the Dashboard.
    • Select the loan for which you wish to view the loan details
    • You can view your next loan installment amount due under the tab 'Next Installment Amount'

      To view next installment amount of your loan through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' tab
    • Click on 'Loans' tab
    • Click on 'Loan Account Number' to view the details
    • You can view the loan installment amount listed as 'Next Installment Amount' under `Outstanding Loan Details` tab.
    View next installment date
      To view next installment date of your loan through CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Click 'View All Accounts' on the Dashboard
    • Select the Loan for which you wish to view the details
    • You can view your loan's next installment date under the tab 'Next Installment Date'
      To view next installment date of your loan through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Accounts' tab
    • Click on 'Loans' tab
    • Click on 'Loan Account Number' to view the details
    • You can view your loan's next installment date listed as 'Next Installment Date' under `Outstanding Loan Details` tab

    Document/personal details update

    Emirates ID update
      To update your Emirates ID through CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Go to 'More' and click on 'My Profile'
    • Click on 'Update'
    • Select 'Emirates ID Update'.
    • Take front and backside picture of your Emirates ID and click 'Continue'
    • Fill up the required details and click on 'Update'

      To update your Emirates ID through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Services' and go to 'Request' tab
    • Select 'Emirates ID Update' from Request Type dropdown menu.
    • Fill up the required details and also upload your Emirates ID Front Picture and Back picture
    • Once you are done, click on 'Update'
    • Verify the details provided and click on 'Confirm'
    Address update*
      To update your address through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • You can update your personal information such as address, mobile number, Emirates ID and email ID by clicking 'Service' tab and click on 'Request' to update your personal information

    Email address update
      To update your Email Address through CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile App
    • Go to 'More' and click on 'My Profile'
    • Click on 'Update'
    • Select 'Update my email address'.
    • Enter your new Email address and click on ‘update’

      To update your Email Address through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Services' and go to 'Request' tab
    • Click on ‘contacts details update’
    • You can see your existing Email address with the bank in masked format. Click on ‘Email update’
    • Enter your new Email ID and submit the request
    Mobile number update
      To update your mobile number through CBD Mobile App:
    • Login to CBD Mobile Banking
    • Go to 'More' and click on 'My Profile'
    • Click on 'Update'
    • Select 'Mobile number update'.
    • Enter your new mobile number and click 'Next'
    • Enter OTP received on current registered mobile number with the Bank and submit the request

      To update your mobile number through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Services' and go to 'Request' tab
    • Click on ‘contact details update’
    • You can see your existing mobile number with the bank in masked format. Click on ‘Mobile update’
    • Enter your new mobile number
    • Enter OTP received on current registered mobile number with the Bank and submit the request
    • If customer does not have a registered mobile number with CBD, you will need to visit a branch where you can submit your remittance request and have your mobile number updated.

      To redeem CBD Reward points as Charity through CBD Online Banking:

    • Enter Account Name, Etihad account # ,Number of miles to redeem and click 'Redeem'

    • Click on the 'Flight' option under 'Travel'
    • Fill up the details as requested and click 'Search flights'
    • Choose the suitable flight and click 'Select'
    • Review your flight information and click on 'Confirm'
    • Enter Passenger information as requested and click on 'Confirm'
    • In case of insufficient points to book a flight, you can purchase remaining points using CBD Credit Card to complete the transaction by clicking 'Redeem'
    • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered Mobile Number
    • To confirm your flight booking, select 'Yes'
      To redeem CBD Reward points to book a flight through CBD Online Banking:
    • Login to CBD Online Banking
    • Click on 'Yes' to proceed to CBD Reward Portal
    • Click on 'Redeem' under 'Reward points'

    Register for CBD mobile or internet banking

    If you already have your CBD online banking credentials you can use them in the app or start registering for mobile banking. To start registering for CBD mobile banking, all you need is a CBD current, savings or debit/credit card number, Emirates ID and mobile number registered with the bank.
    If you're a holder of these, please follow the below steps.

    Enter your full 10 digit account number or 16 digit debit or credit card number, followed by 4 digit PIN of your debit card.

    How to enable Touch ID

    Touch ID will be offered at login after you’ve upgraded to the latest version of our Mobile Banking app. You can choose to enable or disable Touch ID at any time through the `Settings` menu within the app.

    • Your device must support Touch ID authentication to use this feature on the app 
    • If you have already enabled Touch ID authentication in your device, you need to access the preferences section and enable Touch ID login
    • The next time you launch the app, you will see the option to login using Touch ID 
    • You will always have the option of entering your User ID password for our app, even if Touch ID is activated

    Security CBD Mobile Banking uses various security measures and data encryption to ensure your day to day banking is completely safe with a UserID/Password, and debit card PIN for high level transactions. Some of these security measures are:

    • Personalised activation/registration process with unique one time password code and debit card PIN
    • Secure login process using CBD Online Banking credentials
    • Multilevel checks using personal password/touch ID or debit card PIN
    • The ability to control your beneficiaries by adding or removing utility bills, internal and external payments details and authenticated with debit card PIN and the OTP (one time password) received on your mobile. These details are synchronised with CBD Online Banking.

    Mobile security tips
    • Lock your phone when not in use. Password-protect your device so that nobody else can use it or view the information. Also be sure to store your device in a safe location.
    • Call us on 600 575 556, if you have lost your phone and we will disable your mobile banking user ID and password temporarily. In case you have changed your mobile phone number, please let us know and we will update your contact details.
    • Clear mobile frequently by deleting text messages from financial institutions, especially before sharing, discarding or selling your device.
    • Never disclose via text message any personal information (account numbers, passwords, or other personal information) that could be used for ID theft.

    Secure Token

    Secure Token protects your online and mobile banking transactions, giving you peace of mind.

    We know how important online banking security is for you. And to provide you with extra protection for your accounts and transactions, we've added the Secure Key, a feature within our mobile banking app, used to generate a unique and single use security code each time you log in to online banking.

    You'll need to download the CBD Mobile Banking app and initially set up the Secure Key. The Secure Key works even when you're not connected to the internet and provides you with the passcode you need for online banking transactions that require a second factor of authentication.

    How to use Secure Token
    You'll use it together with your 4 digit token PIN that you need to create at the time of linking your token in mobile app or in online banking (under services settings). This way, authentication is based on something you know (4 digit token PIN) and on something you have (6 digit number generated by the digital Token App).

    Our app

    What can I do on the app?
    With our app you can do pretty much anything when it comes to your money. It’s designed to let you do the things you love, whilst making sorting out your money a two-minute job you can do on the way to meeting friends. So with that in mind, we’ve made sure the CBD app lets you view your balance and statements, check your transaction history, make payments as well as transferring money locally and internationally. It can tell you where your nearest ATM is and there’s even a handy budget and expenses tracker to help you manage your spending more efficiently.
    Can I download the app on two different phones?
    For your security, we need you to keep the CBD app on one phone at any given time. If you get a new phone, you can of course install it there once you’ve deleted it from your old handset.
    Can I use the app abroad?
    Of course you can use it abroad! You just need an active internet connection and you’ll be able to login like you do in the UAE.
    Do I get discounts for using the CBD app?
    Enjoy hundreds of dining and lifestyle offers across the UAE. Click on ‘Offers’ or ‘View all offers’ from your dashboard to see what we have in store for you including Buy One Get One Free and discounts up to 25%. You can filter based on your desired categories and/or location to select the vouchers you wish to redeem. What’s more, you can view the nearest offers to you when you turn your location on.

    Is the app secure?
    We’ve taken every possible measure to ensure the safety of your personal and banking details, and we also advise you use a secure password (no birthdays, that’s for sure). To make things easier, you can also use your fingerprint (for iPhones and compatible Android phones) as well as Face ID.
    What should I do if I forget my app password?
    Easy! Just click ‘forgot password’ on the app login page, and we’ll help you to safely set a new one.
    How do I setup Touch ID and Face ID?
    If your smartphone has a fingerprint option, you can activate Touch ID login in your security settings under the ‘More’ menu (More > My profile > Security > Enable Touch ID). For phones with face recognition, you can use Face ID to login by simply activating it in your security settings under the ‘More’ menu (More > My profile > Security > Enable Face ID). If you are facing any difficulties, you can try disabling and re-enabling Face ID to get it working.
    I can't seem to login to the app?
    You might be using the wrong details, or the app may have been locked – it may happen after multiple incorrect login attempts. Give our customer service team a call on +971 600 575 556 and they’ll get you access in no time.
    How can I be sure my information is secure if my mobile device is lost or stolen?
    You should always use the log off button to close your session after using the CBD Mobile App. For your security, even if you don't log out, your session will time out after three minutes of inactivity. After this, anyone using your mobile device will have to login again to access your account information. We also recommend that you do not write your User ID and password in another app on your device.
    What is a secure token?
    A Secure Token is an application that works without the need for an  internet connection to generate a six-digit passcode that you will need for online transactions. You can enable your Secure Token in the ‘Security Settings’ page (More > My Profile > Security > Secure Token).
    How can I register for a secure token?
    Easy! Just follow the simple steps below:
    1. Go to ‘More’ page from the app and select ‘My profile’
    2. Go to ‘Security’ and select ‘Secure token’
    3. Set up Secure your 4-digit Token PIN (We’ll ask for this PIN when making transactions on the Online Banking website, along with the 6-digit Secure Token code).
    How do I use my secure token?
    Enter your 4 digit token PIN followed by the 6 digit token code. You can find your Token code on your login screen and in the Security settings page (More > My Profile > Security).

    Transfers and bill payments

    Can I pay someone else’s CBD card bill?
    Yes. Just follow these simple steps:
    • Select ‘Pay’ from the app menu
    • Select ‘Credit cards’
    • Select ‘Someone else’s CBD card’
    • Confirm the payment details and it’s done!
    Can I pay my credit card bill from another bank?
    Of course you can! Just follow these simple steps:
    • Select ‘Pay’ from the app menu
    • Select ‘Credit cards’
    • Select ‘Other banks cards’
    • Confirm the payment details and it’s done!
    How can I pay a bill?

    Paying a bill with the app is easy and once you pay, the app will remind you to pay it next time it's due. Just follow these few steps:

    • Select ‘Pay’ from the app menu
    • Select ‘Bills’
    • Choose an existing Bill or add a new one
    • Enter the payment details and it’s done!
    How do I edit or delete a beneficiary?

    You can easily update or remove a beneficiary:

    • Select ‘Pay’ from the app menu
    • Select either ‘Transfers’ or ‘Bills’
    • Select ‘Beneficiaries’
    • Click on ‘Edit’ to update or delete your beneficiary.
    How can I transfer money?
    Very easily! Use the app to transfer your money locally or internationally in few simple steps:
    • Tap ‘Pay’ and ‘Transfer’ from the app menu
    • Choose an existing beneficiary or add a new one
    • Enter the amount and confirm your transfer.
    How can I pay my CBD credit card bill?
    You can use the app to pay your credit card bill by following these few steps:

    How do I enable smart notification?
    Stay in control of your transactions and account balance with our timely push notifications. Go to ‘My profile’ page to enable your desired notifications (More > My profile > Preferences > Smart notifications)
    Why do I need to update my Emirates ID?
    As per the UAE Central Bank requirements we are mandated to ensure all customer records are up to date.
    How can I update my details such as Emirates ID, email address and phone number?
    You can update your Emirates ID and your email address under ‘My Profile’ in the app menu (More > My profile > Update). For any other personal information changes, please visit your nearest Commercial Bank of Dubai branch. Commercial Bank of Dubai Branch locations
    How can I change the app language?
    Our app is available in both Arabic and English, you can change your desired language anytime under ‘My profile’ page (More > My profile > Preferences > Language).

    How do I track my spending?
    Easy! Just go to the ‘Spending’ page from the app where you can track your spending in one snapshot with our visual chart. You can also set up a budget for each spending category to help you stay on track.
    How do I create a budget?
    Just go to the ‘Spending’ page from the app and select ‘Budget’ and add the target for your spending categories.
    How do I track my budget?
    Taking charge of your finances has never been easier. After setting up your budget (Spending > Budget), you will be able to track your total expenses against your total budget or compare expenses vs budget for each spending category.
    How do I edit my budget?
    Just click on ‘Edit’ at the top of Budget page to update desired spending targets (Spending > Budget > Edit).

    How do I monitor my transactions?
    With automatic categorisation of your spending, you can view and track all your transactions from all your accounts and cards in one place, so you know exactly where your money goes. Just go to the ‘Spending’ page from the app and select ‘Transactions’.

    How will I receive my account statement?
    In the easiest way possible! You can see monthly statements, as well as all your transactions, by clicking on your desired account and select ‘View Statements’. What’s more, you can download a PDF for your records.
    Where can I find my IBAN?
    You can see your IBAN and all your account information by clicking on your desired account from your dashboard.
    Can I download and print my eStatement?
    Yes, just go to ‘eStatement’ page (Dashboard > Account details > View Statements > choose month) and select ‘View PDF’. From there, you can select the download or print option under the ‘Share’ button.

    Manage your cards

    How can I manage my cards in the app?

    You can manage your cards by going to the ‘Card’ page in the app where you can:

    • Activate your card
    • Set up and change PIN
    • Report your card lost or stolen
    • Temporarily lock your card
    How do I activate and setup my PIN for my debit card or credit card?
    Easy! You can activate and set up your debit card PIN during the app registration process. For credit cards, simply visit the ‘Cards’ page in the app once you are logged in.
    How do I change my PIN for my debit card?
    You can change your debit card PIN number anytime by going to the ‘Cards’ page in the app.
    What should I do if I’ve lost my card?
    How can I lock my card?
    It’s easy to temporarily lock and unlock your card at any time in the ‘Cards’ page, simply toggle the lock button ON and OFF whenever you need, it works in real time. If your card has been lost or stolen, select the ‘Report lost or stolen’ option in the ‘Cards’ page and it will be immediately and permanently blocked.
    My card is expiring soon. What should I do?
    Don't worry; we’ll mail you your new card prior to the expiry date of you current one. If you have any queries, please call our customer service team on +971 600 527223.
    How can I pay my CBD credit card bill?
    You can use the app to pay your credit card bill in a few simple steps:

    Can I download and print my credit card eStatement?
